I've had a busy week so far and haven't gotten around to writing up my goals check for last week -- I will do so soon, I promise, but tonight I am busy with Halloween and the NaNoWriMo kickoff party! For the first time, I am dressing up to go to the party -- ironically, since I am not working on it this November, I am dressing up as my main character in my novel series, Ruby Ransome. (Everything but the red hair -- I didn't feel like messing with hair dye or spray.)
Anyway, I will be blogging about the kickoff party later on, but in the meantime, I hope everyone is having a happy and safe Halloween!

How are you doing with NaNo? I'm using the time to revise and finish something I started a while ago. It's just a little incentive for me to make revisions more of a habit than they are. :)
I'm doing all right. I'm on track with word count, but not as far ahead as my daily goal would have had me if not for a family tragedy that kept me from writing at all on Monday. :(
Sorry to hear about the family tragedy -- my condolences, hon.
I'm far behind in my writing goal, but I'm still on track with the editing I wanted to do.
Editing is the harder part, for me -- I've been working on revisions to my first novel for a while, and I needed a break, so I'm writing something brand-new this month. NaNo doesn't work well for me as an editing incentive -- I tried that during both sessions of Camp NaNo over the summer, and it didn't go so well. Maybe I should try NaNoEdMo next time it comes around...
