Today is the last day of the second session of Camp NaNoWriMo 2015.
I've already "won" for July, but I still plan on joining my friends tonight (coincidentally, Fridays are writers group nights) in cramming the last few words in before midnight.
I also have resumed revision work on one of my novels in the last couple of days, so I consider that a win too, although that is less to do with Camp NaNoWriMo and more to do with another writer friend pushing me to be productive.
I'm not actually going to count the revisions in my Camp NaNo word count, partly because I've already won and partly because revisions are too difficult to count words on unless you have a plan in place ahead of time.
Even so, it makes it feel like a month full of achievements. The novel I started working on was my first Ruby Ransome novel, which I haven't touched in nearly two years. I got burned out on it and took a break from it during NaNo 2013, and just never came back to it (or finished my '13 novel either). The last changes to the file were made in late 2013, which I can see thanks to Scrivener.
I do want to finish the first draft of my 2013 novel still, but I'm glad to be doing a little revision work on Ruby Ransome. I feel like I've lost the thread on that series -- it's just been too long since I worked on it -- and it's past time that I picked it up again.
