I often forget the biggest problem with April's CampNaNoWriMo: It conflicts with tax season. It interferes with my goals every year.
I even had the best intentions this year to get my taxes done earlier. I started catching up on all the income and expense reporting (which I got behind on throughout the year, although not as badly as usual) months ago, but then my workload picked up in February and I stopped working on it regularly.
So this month I have a new goal: to get taxes done and stay on track with my Camp NaNo goals.
My goal for Camp this month is an hour (ish) a day of blogging, so I'm making a corresponding goal of crossing something off my taxes to-do list every day until Tax Day. If I can fit in an hour of blogging work, I can also fit in some tax work every day...
...right?
Unfortunately I also have a busy couple of weeks ahead of me, so I'm going to have to make a real effort to make time for both. I have a hard time making time for so many different things, and I already have deadlines and my various other jobs to make time for, so this is going to be more of a challenge than it sounds like.
What about you? How do you juggle multiple goals and projects? How do you manage taxes in addition to your normal responsibilities?
