I have to admit, I've fallen behind rather badly in Camp NaNoWriMo this month. It happens every April, partly because of tax season, but I've also been really busy lately on top of that, having picked up some new clients earlier this year. And then on top of it all, my mom and I were selling at a doll show last weekend, so I had to spend a lot of time getting ready for that.
I did pretty well for the first four days of Camp NaNo, but after that is when it all fell apart for me. But the month is nowhere near too far gone yet, so I'm trying to recover! Today is the first day of getting my life back -- well, of getting my Camp goals back on track, anyway.
One thing I'm hoping will be helpful is when my boyfriend I go to his parents mountain condo for my birthday later this month. We've been planning on going up there for a sort of mini writing retreat, and finally we're making it happen, for one night anyway. I'm hoping to use that time to devote to some of my projects, not just blogging but some others as well. I have lots of little projects I'd like to get out of the way so I can move on to the more time-consuming ones.
Spending all of my birthday writing retreat on blogging is sort of a last resort, though. I'm hoping to get back to my hour-a-day plan now, or at least starting Wednesday (once taxes are done, haha), and add in an extra hour here and there to make up for the ones I've missed earlier in the month (almost ten now!).
This weekend I'm off to a good start. Wish me luck for continuing the trend throughout the rest of the month -- and, ideally, the rest of my life!
